Crisis Support Services Inc. (CSS) is Australia's leading professional telephone counselling and training provider. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSS is the only organisation in Australia to be accredited by the American Association of Suicidology, and has a 50 year history of helping people in crisis. Some of our key services are:
MensLine Australia – 1300 78 99 78: Assists men work through a range of issues including conflict with their partner, parenting, separation and family breakdown, work/life balance, suicidal thoughts and depression. Visit www.mensline.org.au for more info.
Suicide Call Back Service - 1300 659 467: Provides specialist support to people who are suicidal, lost someone to suicide, caring for someone at risk and professionals who need support in treating clients at risk or affected by suicide. Visit www.suicidecallbackservice.org.au for more info.
Both services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days, across Australia. Support is available for the cost of a local call and provided by paid qualified counsellors.
Training
CSS draws upon its extensive counselling experience to develop its tailored range of training packages, assisting organisations such as the Australian Federal Police, Family Relationship Centres, and the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman.
